Duty Free Shopping

Duty Free shopping is available to all arriving and departing international passengers. In the Arrivals area CITC and SAVA both operate stores with a wide selection of wines, spirits and beers along with tobacco products available. These stores are open for all arrivals of Air New Zealand, Virgin Australia and JetStar.

The International Gate lounge features a variety of stores where as well as perfume, alcohol and tobacco, you can also shop for local wooden and woven handicrafts, jewellery including Cook Islands black pearls, island sarongs and pareau's, local designed t-shirts, shorts, dresses and much more.

Cook Islands Trading Corporation Ltd

CITC operates 2 duty free shops at Rarotonga International Airport, one in the Arrival Terminal and one in the Departure Terminal. The shop in the Arrival Terminal is accessible to passengers immediately on entering the terminal prior to Immigration clearance. The shop stocks major brands of liquor and tobacco. The shop in the Departure Lounge stocks major brands of liquor and tobacco as well as souvenirs and clothing lines.

Island Craft Ltd continues to be leaders in authentic Pacific-Cook Islands arts & crafts, elegant local designer jewellery and gift collections.

Mareko Island Craft

Mareko’s specialises in brightly colour sarongs and pareu's, shorts, shirts, dresses and Tivaevae quilts. Mareko’s are known for their bright, Island colours and flower prints, including island wear for kids.

Polynesian Tax Free

Polynesian Tax Free carries a range of island fragrances, imported perfumes and some liquor.

Sava

Sava is known for its discounts on a range of alcohol and tobacco products with stores in both the Arrivals area and the International Gate Lounge.

Turtles offers customers with both original Cook Islands novelty tees and sports apparel along with and selling internationally acclaimed surf brands such as Billabong, Quicksilver, Rip Curl and Roxy.
